Diary recounts marches and movements, especially through Tennessee and Mississippi in pursuit of Confederates under Nathan Bedford Forrest. Includes the Battle of Tupelo, Mississippi (1864); some time stationed at Cairo, Illinois; and a January 1864 muster roll of Company D. The diary often skips weeks or months while in camp.
